Alison Safford is an artist living and working in Boston.
She attended Carnegie Mellon University, and Alfred University. She has been coming to the Netherlands in the summer starting with a residency at EKWC (Den Bosch, NL). She has attended numerous other residencies in the US and Europe including Bubec Sculpture Studio (CZ), Visual Studies Workshop (NY), and the Kaunas Bone China Symposium (LT). Recent shows include a solo-installation at the Berman Museum of Ursinus College (PA), and at the Mattatuck Museum (CT). She is coming from Slovakia where she installed her interactive installation Murmur at At Home Gallery in Slovakia.
She works primarily in installation, sculpture, and drawing often with interactive kinetic or electronic elements, video, and sound.
